Studying Shiatsu

There are currently two Registered Training Organizations where you can learn more and become a qualified Shiatsu Practitioner


With over 35 years of experience in vocational education, the Australian Shiatsu College has supported hundreds of students in developing the knowledge and skills required for professional practice in Shiatsu and Oriental therapies.

Established in 1987,  The Australian College of Eastern Medicine (ACEM) as it's known today was taken over by the passionate Tom Ebejer in 2001. Previously the Queensland College of Oriental Medicine. 

ACEM offers a 12 month Diploma of Shiatsu, Diploma of Remedial Massage, Animal Therapies, Dry Needling and Facial Rejuvenation courses.

Established in 1987, the Shiatsu Therapy Association of Australia Inc. (STAA) is the National Peak Body representing Shiatsu Therapists.

STAA is dedicated to expanding the awareness and recognition of Shiatsu in the Australian community and its integration into the healthcare system.
