Julie Atkinson will present a history of Okido yoga and lead a practical session focused on the season of Autumn.

These practices aim to assist both shiatsu practitioners and their clients during the Autumn months when we let go and prepare for the colder months ahead.

This workshop will include some or all of the following:

  • Yoga postures/stretches
  • Meridian exercises
  • Self-shiatsu for Lung/Large Intestine
  • Visualisations
  • Affirmations
  • Chanting

    Julie Atkinson

    Julie has more than three decades of yoga practice, study and experience, including teaching in Melbourne, Switzerland and the United States.  She began teaching Okido yoga in 1986, completed a Diploma of Yoga teacher training (International Yoga Teachers Association) in 1989 and a Diploma of Shiatsu and Oriental Therapies (Australian Shiatsu College) in 2008.  Julie is currently teaching yoga in Melbourne and online. 

    Julie's yoga style is woven from her studies and practice. She is passionate about the benefits of Okido yoga and working with the seasons, the elements, the time of day and the times we are living in.
