When you look into someone’s face who has just received shiatsu, you will know at that moment that research, case studies and marketing strategies mean very little.
Shiatsu is about feeling.
Join Akhalita and Russell Makoto on an exploration into what the feeling of shiatsu is. How do we consciously bring it to the shiatsu session for both practitioner and client? What are the signposts and why does it matter?
The session will include:
- explanations of the insights Russell and Akhalita have gained over their combined 45 years experience of giving and receiving shiatsu
- some exercises gleaned from their backgrounds in qi gong, Oki do yoga, aikido and meditation
- Q&A / Discussion
Akhalita and Russell Makoto
Akhalita and Russell run a uchi-deshi (live-in student) mentorship program at their property Ningendo, in north-east NSW.
With a background in shiatsu, aikido, yoga and meditation, we use the natural environment to anchor our experience of these practices.
When we live close to the earth, feeling is what guides our lives.
