"The archive is such a gift to have to look back, to have a sense of history, an opportunity to reflect on how much we’ve grown, to see changing attitudes to a whole range of things, and to see what endures. Looking back we can see how much the times have changed, the options that have opened up for us and our clients, how dispersed our lives and communities have become – no longer organised around a warm hearth as they seem to have been. It’s noisy out there and it’s a challenge to keep up that kind of community. But there are also things that have endured, the lineage that we cohere around which still informs our core values of being professional, collaborative, respectful, relational and adaptive."
